Ok--i'm not sure if I'm writing this morning because I want to or if it's because I feel the wrath of an old friend (Gena) threatening me mercilessly. I'll opt for the former--but this is for you, Gena!
I guess Sean and I are a little slow on keeping up-to-date with things going on. Or maybe, just maybe, it's because we're both so totally lame we have nothing new to share. Let me talk you through our days (which are exactly the same...lucky us): I pick up Sean from his friends' house at 8:40 am every day. We head to campus and both go to our places of employment--him in the Museum of Art, me in the Harold Fine Arts Center. We get off work at 1 and then go to class. After class, we either do homework, go to the gym, sleep (mostly me), eat (always), or just bask in each others greatness. That's it. We doing nothing spectacular.
School is going o.k.--I am actually pretty freaking tired of it. It sucks getting married at the semester break because I have zero motivation for scholarly pursuits. The sad thing is I actually enjoy learning, but I enjoy decorating our new house and planning a wedding MUCH more. So, here's the deal: literally everything we can possibly do for our wedding is done. And has been for quite some time. We are sitting here twiddling our thumbs. I mean it! Right this second! Sean is looking at me with an odd expression on his face...we just are amazed out how we have NOTHING to do, except show up on the 20th to get married. WAIT! We actually have bridals next weekend with the same photographers who did our engagements. We are SO EXCITED. They are amazing and we have a blast when we're all together.
Last thing: maybe the real reason why I haven't really let the reality of marriage set in for me yet is because we had our wonderful friends, Scott and Caitlin, get married on November 1st and Matt and Shantele (Sean's dad and his now wife) get married the weekend before them--there have just been too many celebrations ahead of ours to even think about our day. And now, I STILL can't really think about it because my most anticipated moment of the year (well, maybe second only to my wedding) is happening next Friday. Any guesses??????? TWILIGHT!!!!!! Yes, I fully understand this is a book about vampires and it is undoubtedly geared toward the 'tweener' generation, however I can't help myself--I'm a sucker for love. Sean loves it too! Well, he hasn't read it yet, but he plans to. He knows the entire plot-line. That kid is crazy in love--which works, because I am too.
Well, there you have it. Our fourth blog. I am assuming after the Thanksgiving weekend we'll have a lot of lame things to share.
