I know it has been a long time since my last post--do forgive me...I DID have a baby :-). So, we are embarking on the 3-week mark of our darling Oliver's arrival. He was born December 14th and 6:15 PM weighing in at a huge and whopping (NOT) 7 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long. He was born via c-section after 25 hours of labor. He couldn't have been more healthy and happy when we finally got to hold him.
We had my mom out for the first week, Matt and Shantele (Sean's dad and step-mom) out for 5 days, and Lisa (Sean's mom) for 5 days, too. Tonight is the first night since he's been born that we don't have company--bittersweet. We got soooo much help from all of them and it was so fun for us to have them interact with Oliver, but it will also be nice to get into a routine with the 3 of us.
At his 2 1/2 week check-up, Oliver weighed 9 pounds 5 ounces and was 22 inches long! He's growing so fast--we knew that would happen, but it's amazing to see it when it's your own child. We are so in love with our little Oliver Clay. You really can't imagine what being a parent will do to you until you hold him for the first time in your arms. Sean and I are so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy, happy, baby boy.

Yay! He is so stinkin handsome! I am so so happy for you guys and know that you are experiencing the same joys as me- it is the very very best! We will have to swap labor stories sometime =)

Summer, Oliver is so cute!! I didn't know you had a c-section (I did too) I hope you are recovering well. I love those boots and the matching red and black plaid!
